Checkboxes in PDFs

With Gavel’s PDF Tagger, you can set your fillable-field PDFs to fill checkboxes based on the questions in your workflow.

Connect a Yes/No Variable to a Checkbox

1. Upload the PDF to the Document Templates tab of your workflow
2. Click “Tag” on the right of the box representing the PDF you just uploaded
3. This will open the PDF Tagger
4. When your PDF is visible, select the checkbox you want to tag
5. Select “Insert conditional value”
6. Build the condition for when the box should be checked using your existing variables. Repeat this with all other checkboxes.

Set the Checkbox to Always Be Checked

1. Upload the PDF to the Document Templates tab of your PDF
2. Click “Tag” on the right of the box representing the PDF you just uploaded
3. This will open the PDF Tagger
4. When your PDF is visible, select the checkbox you want to tag
5. Select “Enter text”
6. If you want the box to always be checked, type “Yes” in the field
