About This Lesson

So far in this course, we've learned about Triggers and Actions in Documate. Let's put it all together!

This video shows how you can:

1. Start a workflow in Documate every time a record is added to an external database (the example here uses Airtable);

2. Send the workflow to client to have the client complete additional data;

3. When the workflow is completed by the client, provide the documents to the client;

4. Update the records in the database (here, Airtable) with additional information provided by the client.

This allows you to use an external database to ensure that all of your records are up to date with the latest data you or the client entered in Documate.

(Note that you can also store and keep records updated in Documate's internal Data Manager database.)
